This Monsoeur G. Notin who worked at the "Banque Privée" in Tarare (Rhône), may have been a very busy collector. A couple of
interesting covers are know. Not so many of the same kind as with Mr. Cliquet for instance. See another one from the New Hebrides with date 5 JUIN 1909
and from other countries here at right:

J. Raché postcard, the English 1d stamp cancelled with PM2 on 20 NOV 08. 1d was the correct French colonial long message postcard rate.
The card is written in Mouméa on 20(?) 9bre 1908 (Novembre) to the Paris stamp dealer Theodore Champion. The author writes that he will do all
which is possible to get New Hebrides stamps.
PM2 was held at the Condominium Post Office. This rises questions of course. The Messageries Maritimes steamer PACIFIQUE left Sydney on 11th November
and returned on 29th November.
At the moment I cannot search for more information as my Internet is down thanks to Corona virus...... (Klinger coll.)

Not a "set cover" but a "more than you can buy at the post office" cover. I doubt that one could buy a New Caledonia 5F stamp
in the Vila PO. But in November 1908 eveything was possible and mixed postage was allowed.
So we have this nice corpus delicti for the chaotic postal situation then. (Réf.: Fréd. Petit)
22 November 1908
Mixed frankings: the New Caledonia 5c, New Hebrides French issue 10c and British issue
2d stamps cancelled with PCH type 5, registration mark R1 applied below the stamps.
The inscription hidden behind the two left stamps is "Tribunal Français des Nouvelles
Hébrides". It is addressed to the Procurator General in Nouméa.

After the English and New Caledonian overprinted stamps were issued on 29 Oct 1908 and 21 Nov 1908 the stamps of NSW and New Caledonia were still valid until 30 Nov.
The exchange rate was 1d. = 10c. So this letter was franked 45c, registered rate (25c) for a double weight letter 20c). This combination was only possible from 21 to 30 Nov.
