An official local cover to Mélé Interesting: At that period, F. Yelverton Wilson was a director of the Pacific Isles Investment
Co Ltd, a company created in June 1912. They bought the Petersen Stuart/ Wright plantation in Mélé in August 1912.
This cover may have carried some official paperworks. According to Goyns-Klinger the colonial rate of 1d was introduced on 10 December 1912.
