Aerogramme 25c rate to Eastern Germany, the 1957 25g stamp cancelled with Goyns-Klinger type PM29A. As an airletter rate of 30 cg for non-colonial countries was introduced in 1963 (until 1970) and this aerogramme was taxed double the missing 5cg. The cancel may say 24 June 1964. (Gory coll.) Vila to Oak Park, U.S.A. - Sender. c/- British Residency/Works.Contents include a travel itinerary for the addressee Mr. Stan Jersey detailing flight anangements; Noumea/ Vila, airline UTA (Union de Transports Aériens) and Vila/ Honiara, airline Air Pacific. (allan Gory coll.)
Stam Jersey was a sprcialist for WWII postal history in the Pacific and a famous stamp collector. He contributed many items to this site.

Not an aerogramme but it fits here.
It has the British cancel of this Anniversary Flight.
Williams Aviation Piper Chieftain VH-WGK carried commemorative mails from Melbourne to Melbourne, and to and between PNG, Solomons, New Hebrides, New Caledonia, Norfolk Is- land and Lord Howe Island. Special postmarks were applied in Melbourne and other points. The flight was organised by the Australian Air Mail Society. Covers were backstamped and generally signed by the pilots - Capt. Tony Schwerdt and Capt. N. S. D. Buckley or crew members. Vignettes designed by E. W. Roberts were affixed to much of the mail. (The Australian Airmail Catalogue) (Klinger coll.)
